The Ginger Thai ($9) was the first choice for Mrs. Cocktail Chronicles. The ginger-infused vodka and lime martini was pleasant and went down smoothly, but the “Thai” in the name made us expect a more spicy kick than the drink delivered. The Jean Grey ($9), however, did not disappoint at all (again, I was attracted to the clever name from “X-Men” comics). The drink uses gin infused with Earl Grey tea, and the flavor comes through amazingly well. With lemon juice, simple syrup and a sugar rim, the drink is very similar in structure to a Sidecar, but it has a more gentle bite than that cognac-based drink.
